I remember coming to Columbia City from South Carolina to visit my Uncle Roy and Aunt Edna, and my cousins, Shirley, Sarah and Susie, when I was a little girl. We got a grand tour of the Blue Bell Plant. When we got to the cafeteria, we got free ice cream! My Uncle Roy was exceptional. He loved Blue Bell and the people who worked there and they loved him back. He would be ecstatic over the building being used again and for such a wonderful purpose.
What a special and beautiful memory. It is indeed grand that this space that holds such fondness for so many will now create new happy memories.
